Er zijn stencils lasergesneden en elektro gepolijst of niet. Er zijn ingelijst of frameloze SMT Stencils. Framed SMT stencil of “lijm-in” is met stencils stencil frame en frameless zonder. Prototype SMT stencils zijn laser gesneden stencils meestal voor prototype printed circuit board assembly handmatig afdrukken.
